Privacy Policy

Overview

nuller is built to respect your privacy. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. This policy explains what data nuller handles, how it is stored, and your rights as a user.

Data controller

The data controller responsible for your personal data is MVCS ApS, a company registered in Denmark. If you have any questions or requests regarding your data, contact us at hello@nuller.app.

Data stored on your device

All time entries, client information, and settings are stored locally on your device. On iOS, this uses Apple's SwiftData framework. On Android, this uses the Room persistence library. If you use nuller without signing in, this data never leaves your device.

Sign in with Apple or Google and sync

You can choose to sign in with Apple or with Google, both in the nuller apps on iOS and Android and on the nuller web dashboard. nuller authenticates you using an identity token issued by Apple or Google. As part of this process, nuller receives and stores your Apple or Google user ID and, if shared, your email address. This information is used solely to identify your account and is stored securely in nuller's backend, described below.

Once signed in, your data is synced to nuller's backend so you can access it across devices and via the nuller web dashboard. This data is stored on servers provided by Supabase, Inc., which acts as a data sub-processor on our behalf. Supabase is GDPR compliant and processes data solely on our instructions. When you are signed in, nuller stores:

• Your time entries, including notes.
• Your clients: name, hourly rate, currency and color, plus the address, CVR number, email address and VAT rate if you add them.
• Your invoices: invoice numbers, dates, amounts and notes.
• Your company profile: company name, address, CVR number, bank registration and account number, payment terms, invoice footer and logo.
• Whether your account has nuller Pro, and the date your free trial started.

If you upload a company logo, it is stored in a publicly readable storage location. Anyone who has the link to your logo can view it.

Web dashboard

The nuller web dashboard loads its fonts from Google Fonts. When the dashboard loads, your browser requests the fonts from Google's servers, which means your IP address is sent to Google. This is governed by Google's privacy policy. To keep you signed in, the dashboard stores your sign-in session in your browser's local storage.

iCloud sync (iOS)

If you are signed into iCloud and have iCloud enabled for nuller, your data may also sync across your Apple devices via Apple's CloudKit service. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is governed by Apple's privacy policy. MVCS ApS does not have access to your iCloud data.

Device backups (Android)

If you have Android's system backup enabled, your device may include nuller's app data in backups associated with your Google account. This data is stored in your personal Google account and is governed by Google's privacy policy. MVCS ApS does not have access to these backups.

Analytics and tracking

nuller does not use any third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking tools. We do not track your behaviour inside the app.

In-app purchases and subscriptions

Payments for nuller Pro (monthly, yearly, and lifetime plans) are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store on iOS, or by Google through Google Play on Android. MVCS ApS does not receive or store any payment information. nuller stores only whether your account has nuller Pro and the date your free trial started. Subscription management, renewals, and refunds are handled by the respective store.

Notifications

nuller may send local notifications to remind you of running or paused timers and end-of-day reminders. These are generated on your device and no notification data is sent to our servers.

Data retention and deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete the app without signing in, all local data is removed from your device. If you have a sync account and wish to have your data permanently deleted from our servers, contact us at hello@nuller.app and we will delete your account and all associated data within 30 days.

Your rights under GDPR

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, as well as the right to restrict or object to its processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@nuller.app.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
